· In unison with the Head of School, the Music Director will develop and fine-tune a curriculum for grades K-8 – one that integrates well with our Academy’s broader classical course of study. · In the winter, the Music Director will orchestrate a Christmas Concert; in the spring, the Director will orchestrate a Spring Concert. Preparation leading up to those concerts will likewise be the responsibility of the Director.
· The Music Director will lead Chapel worship on Fridays and will lead other school-wide worship moments throughout the week as well.
Here are the Academy’s desired qualifications for this role:
· A bachelor’s degree or higher in music or a related field.
· Knowledge of music history and theory.
· Experience in elementary music instruction.
